More Efficient Design Delivers Energy Savings
Mitsubishi Electric’s advanced control and operation technology provides significant
power savings. Other environmentally responsible manufacturing methods include
reduction of the amount of lead in wire soldering, and reduction or elimination
of the use of potentially harmful substances such as vinyl chloride plastics
during the manufacturing process.
• VVVF Inverter Control
• Energy Saving in Off-peak Periods
• Reduced Soldering Work
• Reduced Vinyl Chloride Plastics

VVVF Inverter Control
Mitsubishi Electric is the world’s first company to develop VVVF (variable voltage
variable frequency) Inverter Control for elevators. By changing voltage and
frequency simultaneously, VVVF Inverter Control allows smooth, high-precision
control of the traction machine. A high-efficiency PWM (pulse width modulation)
converter further regenerates electric power created from braking energy. The
combination of VVVF inverter and PWM converter results in impressive power
savings.

Energy Saving in Off-peak Periods
Mitsubishi Electric’s precise controller greatly improves energy efficiency by reducing energy consumption when elevators are in standby mode. In addition, during off-peak periods, the group control system goes into “sleep mode” and monitors elevator calls to further reduce energy requirements.
