Mitsubishi Electric has released an advanced compact machine room passenger elevator "NexWay-S Series-IP/AP Version2".
NexWay-S has evolved with wider specifications and more design options such as higher ceilings to suit various building designs. Other new features
include the Regenerative Converter and the Variable Traveling Speed Elevator System, which respectively allow efficient energy use and reduction in waiting and traveling time.

SOLAÉ (including test tower and showroom) had a Grand Opening on January 25th, 2008. Various tests to achieve the world's highest-speed elevator will be started soon. Also, the cutting-edge technologies and histories of elevators, escalators, and building management systems are introduced in the showroom.

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has announced that construction has been completed on the world's highest (173m) elevator testing tower at the company's Inazawa Works in Japan on September 26th, 2007. This will help strengthen and expand the company's elevator business.

Mitsubishi Electric has obtained type-examination certification for spiral escalators based on Machinery Directive 98/37/EC; EN115 /A1/A2: 1998 on December 14, 2005. This enables us to expand sales of our spiral escalators to areas following EN code, in addition to our current sales territories around the world.
